City Council Employment Opportunities Hamilton County R3SOURCE Park Recycling NewsDRAFT CHARTER for Public Review
The elected members of the Charter Commission have submitted a DRAFT charter, for the Public Review & Input stage of the process. Please see the Government Tab, and then the link for page for the Draft charter, including letter from the Charter Commission Chairman. Deadline for this stage of public input to the Commission is June 1, 2020. Input can be done in writing, and/or at the scheduled Public Hearings (5/26/2020 @ 7 pm & 5/30/2020 @ noon). Please see the Commission Chair's opening letter for additional info on the process. Public hearing specifics are listed on the Events page. The Charter Commission Chairman has an open letter for the public linked on the Gov't page (also now posted on home page under News), and you can quick link to Draft Charter here.
New Tax Deadlines
Due to COVID-19, the deadline to file your City of Deer Park taxes and have any balance due paid has been extended to July 15, 2020.
For safety reasons, the City & Tax Offices are currently closed to the public. City business will still be conducted via telephone and email. Blue Ash Road Work to continue
Construction work for the water line, followed by storm sewer, replacement along Blue Ash Road is scheduled to begin on or around April 13, 2020, and take approximately 2 1/2 months. Please drive responsibly through the area for the safety of the workers as they make these improvements. Traffic will be maintained.
The State of Ohio & Hamilton County Board of Elections have announced the postponement of the March 17 Primaries, to April 28, 2020. Due to health and safety concerns, this primary election will be MAIL IN ONLY, with only certain exceptions for in-person voting at the Board of Elections. The 2020 Census is happening this year! Click here to see Census timeline and more information. Visit the official US Census site at www.2020census.gov. This very important mandatory counting process by the Federal Government is beginning March 2020, so look for notifications in the mail.

Flag Disposal Option
Deer Park Troop 791 made a presentation to City Council, led by Jonathan Schramm as part of his Eagle Scout badge project, for a container to hold old, used, or faded USA flags, for proper disposal via special ceremonies by the Boy Scouts. The Red White & Blue box is currently in the lobby of the Municipal Building. The lobby is open Mon -Fri, 8 am - 4:30 pm.
Deer Park Schools Holiday Food Drive
The Deer Park Community Schools have begun their annual Holiday food drive; collecting canned goods and paper products at various locations, from now through Dec 11, 2019. There is a collection/donation barrel in the lobby of the Deer Park Municipal Building. The Lobby is open during normal business hours, as well as during the evening of council meeting nights. We thank you for your support.
