Due to the many questions on snow removal on sidewalks, we wanted to share this information.

521.06 DUTY TO KEEP SIDEWALKS IN REPAIR AND CLEAN.
(a) No owner or occupant of abutting lands shall fail to keep the sidewalks, curbs or gutters in repair and free from snow, ice or any nuisance. (ORC 723.011)
(b) Whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor.

With the weather we have received this past week or so, it is easy to argue what this exactly means. This should be a Council call on enforcement and duties

Regardless, we should all try to be good neighbors.

Since Christmas Day and New Year's Day fall on Wednesday this year, your curbside trash and recycling pick-up day will be delayed by one day during the upcoming holidays.  *** Christmas trees can be placed at the curb for disposal as part of the weekly brush chipping service.  Brush chipping is on Fridays after the end of leaf pick-up season, so the chipping service is scheduled to resume Dec 20, 2024 ***
