In the Fall of 2013, Sycamore Township established a Joint Economic Development Zone (JEDZ). This income tax provides a source of funding for the infrastructure improvements and services within the JEDZ. The JEDZ is divided into four sections. The City of Deer Park administers the income tax collection for the Northwest JEDZ on behalf of Sycamore Township. Effective October 1, 2013, businesses and employees working with the JEDZ are required to pay municipal taxes of .75% on net profits and qualifying wages.

Business Returns - Due on or before April 15th or the 15th day of the 4th month following the end of the fiscal year.

Withholding Reconciliations - Due on or before February 28th.

Individual Returns - If your employer withheld .75% of your wages earned in Sycamore Township, then you will not need to file an income tax return with us. NOTE: Aspire Apartments are NOT located within the JEDD or JEDZ Districts, so you do not need to file a return with us.
