The Deer Park "Days in the Park" Festival will be on
Friday August 6th, Saturday August 7th and Sunday, August 8th in Chamberlin
Park, 7640 Plainfield Road. Friday, August 6th 6:00p.m. - midnight.
Saturday, August 7th 4:00p.m. - midnight. Sunday, August 8th 10:30a.m. -
9:00p.m. There will be live music on Friday provided by Prizoner - a hard rock band. On Saturday music will be provided by The Rusty Griswolds - a classic rock band. Sunday will have a variety of local bands. This year's festival will continue on Sunday, August 8th. There will be a Community Worship Service led by Kenwood Baptist Church at 10:30a.m. From 12:30 - 3:00p.m. there will be a FREE Community Picnic with Hot Dogs, Games and Ice Cream. From 3:00p.m. - 9:00p.m. the festival will re-open. Kids can ride the Carnival rides for one low price from 3:00 - 6:00p.m. All proceeds from the festival go to the Park Board for capital improvements and to provide for children's sporting events and fun events, including this summer's Movies in the Park series, and Pumpkinfest. |
